The Community Engagement Division for Neighbors and New Americans is a new Division under the Neighborhood and Community Services Department. Our team is made up of five full-time employees: a Division Manager, one Coordinator, two Community Navigators, and one Office Associate.

The Citizen Information & Assistance office functions as a direct link between the citizens of Bowling Green and the various City departments. Requests for services are received from citizens and forwarded to the appropriate departments. This office also handles requests for general information about City services.
We provide a direct link between neighborhoods and City Government, fostering and strengthening relationships to promote safe, vibrant, and strong neighborhoods.
The City of Bowling Green's New Americans program serves to coordinate the City's role in communicating and working effectively with the diverse international communities represented in Bowling Green, and to serve as an advocate for LEP (Limited English Proficient) persons who may seek City services.
We are the clearinghouse for the various permits needed to plan and execute a special event on City property and/or one that affects our city’s infrastructure, particularly when road closures and detours are required. Our Division also coordinates major City events such as the annual Duncan Hines Days, Harvest Festival, Downtown Lights Up and many more.
