Harvest Festival

The Downtown BGKY Harvest Festival is a vibrant, family-friendly celebration held each October on the Saturday after fall break for local City and County schools in the heart of Bowling Green. With live music, midway games, fall-themed activities, and over 300 vendors, this annual tradition brings together residents, visitors, and local businesses for one unforgettable day. Hosted across multiple downtown locations—including Fountain Square Park, Circus Square Park, and the SoKY Center—the festival offers something for everyone:

• Fall Fiesta at Fountain Square Park transforms the square into a festive, colorful celebration of LatinX culture, featuring authentic food, lively entertainment, and community partners sharing traditions from across Latin America.
• Circus Square Park will be packed with fun for all ages—free interactive games at the Midway, first responders and nonprofit booths, kid-focused vendors, straw bale play areas, and the ever-popular Pumpkin Drop happening hourly from a BGFD ladder truck 100 feet high.
• Vendor Market & Live Music at the SoKY Center offers all-day shopping with a variety of makers and crafters.
• The Downtown Market stretches across multiple blocks with over 300 local crafters, artists, and producers.
• 100+ food trucks along with Downtown restaurants and bars serve up seasonal favorites, sweet treats, and international flavors across the event footprint

With attendance topping 20,000 in 2024, the Harvest Festival has quickly become one of Bowling Green’s signature fall events—welcoming families, WKU students and alumni, and tourists from across the region. Join us for a day full of local flavor, community pride, and all the best parts of fall!
