Summary: Invitations to a Sidewalk Project Open House that were sent to property owners last week had an error. The correct day and date for the Project Open House is Tuesday, Oct. 26 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Neighborhood & Community Services. A virtual option is also available.

Summary: The 2021 Community Garden season at Kereiakes Park will end October 31. Please have all produce, flowers and plants you plan to keep removed. After that date, all garden plots will be plowed under for the winter.

Summary: Bowling Green Parks and Recreation is offering a Parents Night Out, Nov. 12 from 6:00 pm-10:00 pm for those 5-13 years old. Summary: The Bowling Green City Commission and the Warren County fiscal Court proclaimed today TEN-4 Awareness Day. Research from pediatricians has led to a rule called TEN-4 Bruising Rule that says that any bruising before a child is cruising are significant red flags for child abuse.

Summary: Sidewalk construction has begun on North Lee Drive from Trent Way to Old Barren River Road as part of the FY21 Sidewalk Construction project. Once completed, North Lee Drive will have sidewalk the entire length.

Summary: The new traffic lights at Ken Bale Blvd. and Nell O'Bryan Ct. will go live on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 in the late morning. Contractors are finishing work on striping stop bars, arrows and pedestrian crosswalks today. Please use caution in this area.

Summary: The ongoing paving project at Fairview Cemetery #2 is nearing completion . The access road next to the Cemetery Administration Building and several off-shoots from that road are being paved. Paving will take place Friday, May 21 with intermittent road closures.

Summary: Effective immediately, the intersection of E 13th Ave and Kenton St will be closed for ~3 weeks to complete storm sewer installation. The alley on Kenton that connects to Greenwood Alley will also be closed. Detour signs are in place to route motorist around these areas.

Summary: To align with the Federal guidelines, the City of BG is extending the 2020 Net Profit Return filing deadline to May 17, 2021 for City Net Profit Returns w/a due date of 4/15/21. Late fees on returns with these due dates will be waived until 5/17/21.
