BGCAN will host its Fall Meeting of the Neighborhoods on Thursday, November 20 at the new David Whitson Public Safety Training center and Fire Station #5 located at 250 Porter Pike Rd.
A networking time will begin with food served starting at 5:30 p.m. in Classroom #1 and #2, with program agenda starting at 6:00 p.m. This meeting is free and open to all neighbors in every Bowling Green neighborhood!
The program will include:
• Networking and a yummy dinner from Rafferty's at 5:30pm
• Meet and Greet with the new Community Engagement Division Staff
• Hear Updates on the City’s Residential Leaf Pickup Service
• Get the scoop on applying for up to $6,000 via the Strategic Neighborhood Grant Program
• Tour the new Fire and Police Training Center
BGCAN is:
• A networking coalition of neighbors and neighborhood organizations in Bowling Green, KY organized for the purposes of:
• providing a centralized forum for sharing of methods for neighborhood improvement
• educating a neighborhoods regarding Bowling Green resources
• providing a collective voice for action in addressing community wide neighborhood problems
• acting as a liaison with Bowling Green city government
BGCAN first launched in February 2001 and with the support of its board members over the years has helped to shape neighborhood programming and inform decision-making that continues to enhance our neighborhoods today.
