No person shall own, keep or harbor any animal that unreasonably annoys humans, endangers the life or health of persons or other animals, or substantially interferes with the rights of citizens, other than their owner’s, to enjoyment of life or property. The term “animal nuisances” shall include, but is not limited to: Any animal that goes upon any property or premises not owned or occupied by the person who keeps, harbors or owns the animal without permission. Multiple animals residing at this location were found to be trespassing on the property of others. Ensure all animals are properly restrained or confined to their property.

The dogs have destroyed a neighboring fence that borders their property. Please ensure they are not able to have access to this fence in order to avoid further damage.

The term “animal nuisances” shall include, but is not limited to: Any animal that runs at, jumps upon, chases, barks at, bites at or in any other way frightens, molests or scares any person other than the one who owns, keeps or harbors the animal and the members of his/her immediate family. One of the dogs living at this location is known to charge and bark viciously at people both on the property of others and public roadways and right of ways. This has generated multiple complaints to our office.

Code Description:
Any owner, keeper or harborer of any animal shall confine such animal as defined. Puppies and dogs: confinement shall mean on the premises of the owner and confined in a secure enclosure or accompanied by the owner on the owner's property and under his/her direct control. If off the premises of the owner, the animal must be restrained by a lead or leash and under the control of a responsible person, or accompanied by a responsible person into an approved off-leash area, and in conformance with all regulations and/or requirements imposed as a condition of utilizing such off-leash area. Multiple animals residing at this location are not properly confined to the property as required. The dogs must be kept on leash or tethered until another fence or enclosure can be built on the property. Please ensure all animals are properly confined as described below.
