A pitbull type dog living at this address is regularly allowed to escape its yard and trespass on public roadways and properties not belonging to the owner. Please ensure the fence is in good repair or the dog is properly contained/ leash walked to avoid further action and/or fines.

The term “animal nuisances” shall include, but is not limited to: Any animal that runs at, jumps upon, chases, barks at, bites at or in any other way frightens, molests or scares any person other than the one who owns, keeps or harbors the animal and the members of his/her immediate family. It has been reported that when this dog is out, he chases pedestrians lunging, charging and barking. This is an on going issue and has been report numerous times to our office.

Code Description:
Any owner, keeper or harborer of any animal shall confine such animal as defined. Puppies and dogs: confinement shall mean on the premises of the owner and confined in a secure enclosure or accompanied by the owner on the owner's property and under his/her direct control. If off the premises of the owner, the animal must be restrained by a lead or leash and under the control of a responsible person, or accompanied by a responsible person into an approved off-leash area, and in conformance with all regulations and/or requirements imposed as a condition of utilizing such off-leash area. One of the dogs living at this address is not properly contained. This dog must be leash walked and under the control of an owner until it can otherwise be contained on the property.
