Code Description:
Requirements for the design, maintenance, and a menu of Best Management Practices (BMPs) are located in the City of Bowling Green Stormwater BMP Manual. Site construction in the City shall comply with the provisions of the BMP Manual. Compliance Inspection Comments (10/12/2023): Not all areas are stabilized. Not issuing a fine at this time - sod is 2/3 installed and the area around the basin inlet is stabilized. A 3rd failed compliance inspection will result in additional fines. Compliance Inspection Comments (10/05/2023): Zero attempt had been made to become compliant. No communication was received from contractor. Happenstance, contractor showed up during this inspection. Courtenay walked him through all EPSC items as well as infrastructure items that are in need of repair/replacement prior to issuance of a CO. Initial Inspection Comments (09/26/23): Failure to protect inlet in retention basin. Dirt was graded into inlet box and needs to be removed.

Code Description:
21.1.03.b It shall be a civil violation for any person to negligently damage any curbing, pavement, sidewalk, road signs, traffic signal equipment, street lights and drainage structures or other public infrastructure within City rights-of-way. The Public Works Department shall have the authority to notify any violator to require corrective action. If proper repairs are not made, the City may repair or contract to repair and the violator shall be responsible for the costs incurred by the City for such repair. 21.1.03.c In addition to the remedies above, the City Attorney is authorized to pursue any and all appropriate civil actions in order to recover the City’s costs for making repairs. Compliance Inspection 2 1(10/12/2023): Utility strip in ROW has gravel and concrete pieces that must be removed, backfilled, and vegetated to achieve compliance. There is also a traffic island that was altered for access and must be returned to its original aesthetic.
