People with interests of all varieties are welcome at Roland Bland Park, located downtown. Multiple forms of transportation can get you here! There is ample parking, a BG GO bus stop, bike racks, and the greenways paths run through the park. Here you will find a large pavilion with six picnic tables, two large grills, and horse shoe pits located nearby; a perfect spot for an outdoor gathering. The shelter may be reserved online at https://playbgpr.bgky.org. Another recreational opportunity available at Roland Bland is the playground equipment (suitable for all ages). There are multiple swing sets (including toddler swings) and two jungle gyms, as well as an additional one intended for smaller children. The Roland Bland Park is also home to the Bowling Green Skate Park. Inline skates, skateboards, and BMX bikes are all welcome at the skate park to enjoy the variety of rails, ramps, bowls, and half pipes. The skate park is open from 7 a.m. until 11 p.m. and has several bleachers available for spectators. There is a large gazebo in the middle of the park housing picnic tables that overlook the soccer field with two netted soccer goals. There are two basketball courts and two tennis courts available right next to the public restrooms. Throughout the park, you can also get free WIFI provided by the city.
