Fairview Cemetery is owned and operated by the City of Bowling Green and has approximately 1,000 spaces available; which includes graves, niches and scattering gardens. All available graves are located in Cemetery #2.
Fairview Cemetery is one of the most beautiful and oldest cemeteries still in operation in the Bowling Green area and our staff is very caring and accommodating to all families.
Our division offers:
- Genealogical Research
Fairview Cemetery provides several options to assist with genealogy research through maps and search of cemetery databases. Our staff can assist you Monday-Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm. Also, you can do your own research by using the Online Burial Search.
- Cemetery Gardens
Fairview Cemetery has cremation gardens, which includes cremation niches ($850), in-ground burial plots ($500-725) and scattering gardens.
- Veteran's Memorial Bricks
Memorial bricks can be purchased for $50 each. They will be placed in the Veterans Memorial Plaza located at Fairview Cemetery.
- Bloch Chapel Rentals
The Bloch Chapel is located in Cemetery #1 of Fairview Cemetery. The Chapel is available for weddings, funerals, memorial services and other various occasions. The rental fee is $150 for a two hour minimum ($75 of the rental fee is considered your deposit and non-refundable). Each additional hour is $75.
- Memorial Tree Program
The Memorial Tree Program offers families the opportunity to remember their loved ones while enhancing the beauty of Bowling Green parks and cemeteries. By participating in this special program, family members will help designate a memorial planting to honor their loved one and support the beautification of our parks and green spaces.

Beginning March 1 Fairview Cemetery Staff will conduct their Annual Cleanup. Cleanup will continue thru the mowing/mulching season. Items that are worn or faded and/or on the ground will be removed.
