Nestled alongside Jennings Creek and the Creekwood Greenway, Jennings Creek Nature Park is a linear park that offers a peaceful escape in the heart of our community. Located just behind Jennings Creek Elementary and Moss Middle School, the park stretches along the greenway corridor and connects to Greenhill Street, creating a quiet, natural retreat from the hustle and energy of our growing city. This unique space invites visitors to slow down, explore, and reconnect with the outdoors. At its heart is the Jennings Creek Nature Playscape, made possible through the generous support of the United Way of Southern Kentucky, where children and families can experience imaginative, nature-based play. Additional features, including the outdoor classroom and creek access point, were funded by the Noon Rotary Club, providing opportunities for environmental education, reflection, and hands-on connection with the creek itself. Looking ahead, the park will soon be home to a fully accessible Wetlands Boardwalk trail, opening up even more opportunities for all members of our community to experience this special ecosystem. Jennings Creek Nature Park represents a commitment to preserving and conserving the natural beauty that exists within our city. It is a place where nature, learning, and community come together offering a one-of-a-kind outdoor experience right here at home.
