Cemeteries

Fairview Cemetery is owned and operated by the City of Bowling Green and has approximately 1,000 spaces available; which includes graves, niches and scattering gardens. All available graves are located in Cemetery #2.

Fairview Cemetery is one of the most beautiful and oldest cemeteries still in operation in the Bowling Green area and our staff is very caring and accommodating to all families.

Our division offers:

  • Genealogical Research

2021 Fairview Cemetery Annual Cleanup

2021 Fairview Cemetery Annual Cleanup

Feb 9, 2021

Fairview Cemetery Staff begins their Annual Cleanup March 1. Cleanup activity continues thru the mowing/mulching season. Any items in the way of grave maintenance along with worn, faded flowers and trinkets will be removed. For more information contact 270-393-3607.

Mark Your Arrangements: The cemetery office receives several calls during the year looking for flower arrangements that blow away during windy conditions. We hold those items approximately one week next to our storage building. If an identification tag can be affixed to the arrangements (as the name appears on the monument), Cemetery Staff will do their best to see that the arrangement is placed back on the correct monuments.
Inclement Weather: During inclement weather the cemetery gates will be closed until all ice, snow and other debris causing unsafe conditions in the cemetery can be cleared from the roads in the cemetery. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Reminder: Please remember that Fairview Cemetery is a cemetery. The staff at Fairview Cemetery has the utmost respect and concern for all friends and loved ones buried here. We expect the citizens of this community to feel the same way.
