Crime Prevention

The Bowling Green Police Department supports the need for Crime Prevention efforts and Safety awareness to the citizens of Bowling Green. The most important way to prevent crime and focus on safety is bring about programs and information that build on the community's sensibilities. 

Many programs such as CrimeStoppers, Junior Police Academy, Safety City, and the Citizens Police Academy were founded to provide citizens and their children a way to involve themselves with local law enforcement. Another way to promote safety is to provide everyday safety tips and good safety practices to citizens. These are some things to focus on daily:
