Learn to Swim Registration
May 13, 2022
Summary: Registration for the Learn to Swim Program will be held May 31 and June 1 from 4 pm-6 pm at Russell Sims Aquatic Center. Participants will need to be dressed to get in the pool at the time of registration for a skills assessment test.

Fitness Fun Under the Sun

2022 Shelter Reservations

Summary: Bowling Green Parks and Recreation is accepting 2022 shelter reservations for dates ranging from NOW-October 31. Reserve your shelter online or in-person at the Parks Admin Office located at 225 East Third Avenue.

Two City employees recognized at Saturday's Women of Achievement Awards

Bowling Green City Clerk named Clerk of the Year

Summary: The Kentucky Municipal Clerks Association named Bowling Green City Clerk Ashley Jackson as the 2022 Clerk of the Year. Jackson began working for Bowling Green in 2006 as Assistant City Clerk. She was promoted to City Clerk in 2018.

#BGGovToGo Returns With Community Block Party Downtown

Small Business Administration begins pilot program in Bowling Green, sets up temporary office at Kummer/Little Center

2022 Fairview Cemetery Annual Cleanup

Businesses and food trucks needed for Bunny Hop Trail

Summary: The Bunny Hop takes place at the park on the paved walking trail that is completely wheelchair accessible. The event is scheduled from 3 to 6 p.m. March 26 and the Easter Bunny will make an appearance. Last year’s event drew a crowd of hundreds.

Demolition permits are required for structure tear down

McConnell, Guthrie visit disaster recovery center

BGFD to accept fire department applications beginning Feb. 11

Summary: The Bowling Green Fire Department is hiring. Applications will be accepted from Feb. 11 through March 18. Applicants are required to produce a Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) certification card by April 10.

Feb. 7 deadline set for debris placement
