The City of Bowling Green Code Enforcement Division will begin assisting the Barren River District Health Department immediately by monitoring restaurants and bars for compliance with the recently issued Governor’s Executive Order 2020-968.  This will include site visits to provide education regarding outdoor dining, social distancing, and masking requirements for COVID-19.

In addition, City staff will also be providing information to businesses on how to apply for CARES grant funding. Small businesses within the City limits of Bowling Green who have been impacted by COVID-19 may be eligible for grants of $2,500 for fewer than 26 employees or up to $5,000 for as many as 50 employees. More information on the BG CARES can be found at https://www.bgky.org/announcements/1017.
