Traffic and Parking Impact in Downtown for BG Mardi Gras Madness & Parade

Traffic and parking impacts are expected on Sat., March 4 in downtown Bowling Green for BG Mardi Gras Madness hosted by Kiwanis Club. Please see map for full impacts.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Traffic and parking impacts are expected on Saturday, March 4 in downtown Bowling Green for the BG Mardi Gras Madness event hosted by Kiwanis Club of Bowling Green. College Street between SKYPAC and Circus Square Park will be closed from 8 am until after the BG Mardi Gras Parade passes shortly after its 6:30 p.m. start time from College & 6th. Parking will be restricted on College Street between 3rd and 6th beginning at 4:00 p.m., when barricades will be placed to limit traffic in these blocks to parade staging only. Parking will also be removed from College Street between Circus Square Park and SKyPAC and in the Circus Square parking lots for the BG Mardi Gras Madness event taking place at Circus Square. Signage will be posted in all areas where parking is to be removed.

At approximately 6:15 p.m., BGPD will begin to secure the parade route in advance of the 6:30 p.m. parade start time. The estimated parade time is one hour. Parade spectators and other downtown patrons are urged to arrive at their destinations early and exercise caution and patience traveling in the area.

The route for this first time parade starts on College at 6th, travels past SKYPAC and Circus Square Park up to 10th Avenue, then back down State Street to Circus Square Park, where it will disband at 6th Avenue.
