City takes top honors in Site Selection Magazine's Governor's Cup rankings

Bowling Green is number one in the Tier 3 Metros in the state with 23 total projects along with second in projects per capita. Bowling Green also ranked in the top 10 for total projects in the South Central region for all Kentucky cities regardless of size.
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Site Selection magazine recognized Bowing Green in its 2023 Governor’s Cup rankings for the city’s economic success.
Bowling Green is number one in the Tier 3 Metros in the state with 23 total projects along with second in projects per capita, according to a release from Gov. Andy Beshear’s office.
“We are so proud to be recognized for our economic development efforts in Bowling Green and Warren County,” Mayor Todd Alcott said. “As local governments, the city and county work collaboratively together to build and maintain a strong economic base. We are grateful to the governor’s office for this recognition.”
Bowling Green also ranked in the top 10 for total projects in the South Central region for all Kentucky cities regardless of size.
As a whole, Kentucky came in third nationally in economic projects per capita.
