Big changes are coming to Bowling Green’s neighborhood grant program—now called Strategic Neighborhood Grant Funds—with $60,000 available for community-driven projects in 2026. Applications for Fall funding are open now through August 1, so rally your neighbors and bring your ideas to life.
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The City of Bowling Green's neighborhood grant program is getting a facelift! Formerly known as Flexible Neighborhood Grant, which had been initially launched in 1999 as the Select Neighborhood Action Program, is now being renamed the Strategic Neighborhood Grant Funds.
This year's 2026 grant cycle will make $60,000 in funds available to projects for neighborhood initiatives, funds will divided into two equal cycles for Fall and Spring neighborhood projects. Applications are now being accepted through August 1, 2025 for the Fall projects.

There are many ways to apply for the Strategic Neighborhood Grant Funds, choose your preferred method and get started today:
- Applications are available online via: https://www.bgky.org/neighborhoods/grant
- Complete applications three ways: (1) online fillable form, (2) fillable and downloadable PDF or (3) print paper form available at our offices
- Submit your completed application via email at neighborhoods@bgky.org or drop off at Neighborhood and Community Services located at 707 E. Main Avenue in the lower level reception area, Monday thru Friday from 8am - 4pm
