The Executive Assistant/Public Information Officer provides high-level support to the City Manager and Board of Commissioners by handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks. The position also coordinates information from the different departments of government to inform citizens of municipal services, programs, events and activities. Information is communicated to citizens of Bowling Green through the use of advertising and by distributing information to the local news media and through multiple mediums of social media. The Executive Assistant/Public Information Officer oversees the Public Information Division staff.

The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating all graphic design through a variety of mediums to inform citizens of municipal services, programs, events and activities. Information is communicated through the use of advertising, brochures, logos, newspaper, and social media. This position also designs the SOKY Happenings advertisements, the City’s yearly annual report calendar, and information graphics for Government Access Channel 4.

The Broadcast Specialist performs video and broadcast programming services for the City of Bowling Green and records and live-broadcasts all city-government and other various agency meetings on the City’s Government Access Channel and YouTube. Video production includes Spotlight on Bowling Green, Public Service Announcements, Video News Releases and more. This position helps to promote the City and its programs and services to the public through video programming.

The Creative Media Specialist is responsible for recording and editing high quality video content for internal and external communications, shooting and editing professional grade photography for use across all city platforms, recording and editing podcasts for the City’s public channels, collaborating with the Graphic Designer on a variety of visual and communication projects, as well as assisting in the broadcast and uploading of public meetings to the local access cable channel. This position is also in charge of producing weekly video content for the Parks and Recreation Department.
