Assistant City Manager: Katie E. Schaller-Ward
The Assistant City Manager directs the Office of City Manager which incorporates the Office of City Internal Auditor and the Office of Public Information. The Assistant City Manager provides advanced operational, managerial and administrative support to the City Manager and fulfills the duties of the City Manager in the absence of the City Manager. The Assistant City Manager is also responsible for coordinating and managing the annual budget process in collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer.
Ms. Schaller-Ward has served as the City’s Assistant City Manager since July 2006. This position was previously combined with the position of City Clerk and position of Chief Financial Officer. She began her career with the City in May of 1996 as the Assistant City Clerk and has moved through the ranks since. She has also serviced as interim City Manager and Interim Public Works Director.
Ms. Schaller-Ward serves on various boards and committees including the Intermodal Transportation Authority (ITA) Board, ITA Finance Committee, Job Development Incentive Program (JDIP) Committee, Kentucky League of Cities (KLC) Board of Directors, Kentucky League of Cities Investment Pool (KLCIP) Board of Trustees, and Kentucky City/County Management Association (KCCMA) Executive Board.
