Section 8's Housing Voucher Program will open its waiting list to pre-applications on October 2, 2013.

The City of Bowling Green's Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program will open its waiting list to accepting pre-applications on Wednesday, October 2, 2013, starting at 7:30 a.m., in the Housing Division office in the City Hall Annex building located at 1017 College Street. This is the first time since December, 2011 that the City has opened up its waiting list to add new applicants, and vouchers obtained through this program can only be used within the incorporated city limits of Bowling Green.

A limited number of pre-applications will be issued with a maximum of two per person. To pick up a pre-application, you must bring a copy of your photo ID. If you are picking up pre-application for someone else, bring a copy of their photo ID.

The Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program is geared to help low income, elderly and/or disabled individuals and families with obtaining safe and decent housing. Applications with Scholar House Education Program preference, Homeless Preference or Homeownership preference will continue to be accepted daily between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. until further notice.
