The WKU Homecoming Parade and Big Red's Roar will be on Friday night, Nov. 10 in Downtown Bowling Green. Parking will be impacted on Fountain Square as early as noon to prepare for the pre-parade festivities that start at 4:00 p.m. The parade starts at 5:30 p.m. from Cherry Hall.

Downtown Bowling Green and WKU Campus will experience parking and traffic impacts on Friday, Nov. 10 for the "Big Red, White and Blue" WKU Homecoming Parade and community pep rally known as Big Red's Roar. Some parking will be reserved on the Main Avenue side of Fountain Square so that staging may load in near the Capitol early in the day on Friday morning. 

Main Avenue adjacent to Fountain Square will close at noon and Park Row will close at 1:30 p.m. for no new entry.

Pre-parade festivities will begin at 4:00 p.m. at Fountain Square and the Parade will begin at Cherry Hall at 5:30 p.m. The parade will come down College Street to Fountain Square Park, where Big Red's Roar will continue into the evening. Parade vehicles will disembark from the parade route by turning left onto Main, continuing to Adams Street and returning to campus. College Street will clear from parade traffic by approximately 6:15 pm, with all street closures on Fountain Square cleared no later than 10 p.m.

Free public parking is available after 5 pm in the Justice Center and Paxton House lots, the downtown Stadium Park parking garage, BGMU lot and other locations. View the downtown parking map to identify both free and paid parking locations.
