Summary: The BGPR Youth Track Meet will take place on June 2, 2016 beginning at 9:30am at the BGHS Track. Let your child demonstrate their 50M, Long Jump, and Softball Throw. This event is free of charge.
May 25, 2016
Summary: This June 4th and 5th tournament is open to the public and limited to the first 100 players. The entry fee is $100 for non-members and $90 for members of Paul Walker and Riverview Golf Courses. Two rounds of great golf with riding carts and lunch. The 36 hole, medal play will begin with a shotgun start at 7:00am and 1:00pm on both Saturday and Sunday. Limited to the first 100 PAID entries!

Summary: Come check out the new Foot Golf course at The Golf Course at Riverview. The course will be open on Fridays, May 27th thru July 29th, June 12, June 19, and Sundays, July 10th thru July 31st beginning at 5:30 pm.

Summary: This May 23 training is next in a series of Neighborhood University sessions that fulfill training requirements for SNAP Grant eligibility.

Summary: With the recent spell of cold weather, water temperatures at Russell Sims Aquatic Center remain in the mid 60’s, which is far too cold for safe swimming. Bowling Green Parks and Recreation has made the decision to postpone opening day to Monday, May 23, 2016. We will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as available.

Summary: The Paul Walker Memorial will be held on June 4th and 5th at Paul Walker Golf Course. This event is limited to the first 100 PAID entries.

Summary: Neighborhood & Community Services presents the 5th installment of the New Neighbor Series on Africa this Friday, May 13th at 3:00pm at our offices located at 707 East Main Avenue.

Summary: The City of Bowling Green will hold a Ribbon Cutting on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. for the grand opening of the new West End Soccer Field located at The Foundry; 531 West 11th Street. This 330’ x 180’ Bermuda grass field will have multiple uses including free play, practices and tournaments.

Summary: The City of Bowling Green will hold a press conference on May 3rd, 2016 at 4 p.m. in the City Hall Commission Chamber to announce information regarding the U.S. Department of Justice and their investigation into the employment practices of the City of Bowling Green Police Department.

Summary: The City of Bowling Green’s annual Arbor Day celebration will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016. This event will take place at Kereiakes Park on Cemetery Road from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Arbor Day is FREE and open to the public.

Summary: Cemetery staff will be conducting their annual spring cleanup beginning March 21, 2016. The cleanup will include decorations, flowers, statuary, plaques, etc. that are on the ground; this includes items that will get in the way of mowers.
