Downtown BGKY Harvest Festival this Saturday, Oct. 14

The annual Downtown BGKY Harvest Festival will take place in Downtown Bowling Green, Kentucky on Saturday, October 14th starting at 10 am! This family-friendly fall event will have activities for ALL AGES and ABILITIES.

You're invited to join us for the annual Downtown BGKY Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 14 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Find FREE admission to kids' activities, live music, craft vendors, local food trucks, and more at SoKY Marketplace, Stadium Park Plaza, Circus Square and Fountain Square - all in Fountain Row. Check out the Downtown BGKY Harvest Festival Map here.

This is Downtown BGKY's kickoff to the Fall season with family events like hay forts and inflatables, the BG Trolley and Lil Toot, and the infamous pumpkin drops every hour on the hour at Circus Square. Catch a Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Fall Fiesta at Fountain Square with help from our Latino community. It's the close of the farmers market season at SoKY Marketplace, including Croptoberfest with live music throughout the afternoon. Many City and County departments will be on hand with displays and activities, including Stormwater, BGPD and BGFD, as well as many community organizations contributing to the fun as well!

We're making room near Circus Square and Fountain Square for lots of pedestrians and fun vendors, so outside Circus Square, College Street will be closed to traffic from 6th to 7th Avenue, while both Park Row and E. Main Avenue adjacent to Fountain Square will be closed as well. More than 120 total vendors and exhibitors will be located at both parks, on the "Hot Rod Alley" at Stadium Park Plaza and of course at the SOKY Marketplace Pavilion and Green.

Catch BG and Warren County Parks & Rec friends with free inflatables and games at Circus Square Park all day. Up for some spine-tingling fun?  Enjoy a haunted house hosted by Parker Bennett & Moxley Community Centers and wind through some spooky corners in the basement of The Historic Venue on 7th. It will be open from 3-6 pm
Warren County Public Library will offer a free Monster Movie Marathon all day, with a full line-up of classics at the Capitol, and Bowling Green Rock Band Academy will have a full day of locally grown talent at their Fall Showcase, taking place at the legendary Tidball's, just one block off of Fountain Square. Find $10 tickets on Eventbrite.

The BG Trolley will offer free hop on, hop off service at four stops around downtown. The stops are:
  • On State Street by the clock, near the entrance to Morris Alley and the intersection with Park Row

  • On College Street near Spencer's, across from Fountain Square Park

  • On 7th Avenue, at Stadium Park Plaza and directly across the street from the SOKY Marketplace Pavilion

  • On State Street near 7th Avenue at Circus Square Park, across from Hickory & Oak

You can enjoy an easy stroll down our Candy Corn Lane, an easy and walkable Heritage Trail connecting Fountain Square and Circus Square, or if you're up for something a little more nature-oriented, save some time for a Tree Walk at Weldon Peete Park near the Riverfront with our BikeWalk BG friends.

You can catch a free ride to the Tree Walk! Just meet at the Go BG bus at Circus Square Park (next to La Gala) by 2 p.m. sharp! The Tree Walk will be guided by SOKY Wild Ones and will last about 45 minutes, with the Go BG bus transporting back to Circus Square afterwards.

Cap off the evening with a free movie at Community Education's 7th Annual Blockbusters at the Ballpark, where gates will open at 6 pm for a free showing of "Top Gun: Maverick" at 7 pm. Or be at the Capitol at 6 pm when BG Horror Club presents the sci-fi 1979 thriller, "Alien."
