Fairview Cemetery #2 closed Tuesday for large funeral

A large funeral service is expected to draw more than 500 people to Fairview Cemetery Tuesday, Oct. 28 which will result in the temporary closure of the cemetery.
BOWING GREEN, Ky. - Fairview Cemetery #2 will be closed Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in preparation for the setup and arrival of a burial and funeral service.
The service, scheduled in the back portion of Cemetery #2, is expected to draw more than 500 attendees. Access will be limited to one entrance, with parking extending from the back portion of the cemetery to the middle sections. This arrangement will restrict access to these areas for visitors not attending the service.
Motorists should expect possible delays in the area and may wish to consider alternate routes. Cemetery staff urge drivers traveling near the event to use caution due to the anticipated increase in traffic.
