The City advertises and distributes recruitment notifications each time it is taking public safety applications.  Police recruitment typically takes place early in the year and again in the summer.  Fire recruitment typically occurs in the spring but can depend each year on the number of anticipated vacancies and candidates remaining on the eligible list.  When the recruitment period is active, application packets are available in City Hall, and via the City's website.  Applicants can download the application packet.  The packet includes the application and related required forms, the tentative testing schedule, pay and benefits information, a description of the physical fitness test, and other related information.  The City of Bowling Green is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a Drug Free Workplace.
