Domestic Violence/Victim Advocate

The Bowling Green Police Department Victim Advocacy Unit offers crisis intervention, support and advocacy to victims of crime and their non-offending family members during their involvement with the criminal justice system.  Advocates specializing in child abuse and domestic violence services are available to assist with the legal, medical, psychological and economic aspects of victims’ cases as they arise. All services are free and confidential, and are provided with the mission of minimizing secondary trauma and empowering victims in their pursuit of justice. 

Barren River Area Safe Space (B.R.A.S.S.), Inc. provides safe shelter and offers victim advocacy and counseling services to domestic violence victims and their children.
