Crime Prevention

Crime Prevention is a function of the Special Operations Unit of the Bowling Green Police Department. This unit provides home and business safety and security surveys; crime watch and safety training for neighborhood associations, churches, clubs, etc.; facilitates the Citizen's Police Academy and assists the Citizen's Police Academy Alumni Association, oversees the Neighborhood Watch Crime Alert System (the Communicator), coordinates the "Safe Spot" program, TRIAD (Crime Prevention for Senior Citizens), and Crime Stoppers.
