As a citizen it is my responsibility to...

Contact Scott Waste Services to report a missed pickup or for information about collection requirements and schedules.  Give the location of missed pickup (curb/alley), address and type of material (yard waste or garbage) that was not collected.  Residents are required to properly contain and/or cut and bundle materials to be collected.  All household trash should be placed in a container with a tight-fitting lid.

Residents should comply with all collection guidelines for household waste, yard debris and brush pickup, and bulk items.  Residents should call their service provider to request pickup of yard waste and/or bulky items such as appliances, furniture, etc.

Residents of rental properties should contact their landlord to determine if the landlord or tenant is responsible for obtaining garbage service at their residence.  If the landlord has obtained service for the rental unit, the tenant should obtain contact information for the correct garbage service provider. Tires, hazardous household materials and large quantities of building materials are not collected by most solid waste contractors.

Scott Waste will collect weekly from each residential unit all residential yard waste separated by the resident and placed at the curb for collection in biodegradable bags, carts, personal cans, and/or tied bundles. Bundles shall not exceed 4 feet in length and shall not weigh more than 50 lbs. Scott Waste is not required to collect residential yard waste placed at the curb in plastic bags.
