Indian Hills Country Club Fire

On Saturday December 7, 2019 at 7:39 p.m., the Bowling Green Fire Department was dispatched to the report of a possible structure fire at the Indian Hills Country Club at 200 Indian Hills Drive.

On Saturday December 7, 2019 at 7:39 p.m., the Bowling Green Fire Department was dispatched to the report of a possible structure fire at the Indian Hills Country Club at 200 Indian Hills Drive.  Crews arrived on scene at 7:45 p.m. to find visible flames extending from the roof on the back side of the structure.

Multiple crews entered the building and gained access to the second floor.  As crews attempted to access the attic area they encountered a large volume of fire and extensive heat.  Their extinguishment efforts were unsuccessful.  Due to the volume and rapid development of fire, crews were withdrawn from the second floor and the fire was fought from the exterior of the building.

Individuals were present at the time of the fire and escaped without injury.  No firefighters were injured in the fire.  The fire was initially fought by 27 BGFD firefighters staffing five engines and three ladder trucks.  Due to the large volume of fire and needed water to supply elevated streams from ladder trucks, four water tankers and two additional engines were provided by Alvaton, Gott, and Plano Fire Departments.

Damage estimates are not available at this time but the building is a total loss.  BGFD fire investigators are currently working to determine the origin and cause of the fire.
