The Center for Courageous Kids is a world class medical camp located in Scottsville, KY, serving children and families who are living with medical challenges. Volunteers are needed year-round, for both family weekends and summer sessions. Day volunteer opportunities include assisting in our dining hall, horse barn, housekeeping and maintenance facilities. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of South Central KY, Inc.
CASA seeks passionate volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children. Volunteers must be 21 or older. ALL volunteers will have a background check and 30 hours of volunteer training.This would be an excellent opportunity for retirees and students interested in law, criminal justice, social work, and/or child and family studies. Kentucky Organization for Foster Youth
HOPE is: Helping to Organize, Provide for and Empower youth. The goal of the program is simple: to help teens in out of home care (foster care) transition successfully into adulthood. You could be a mentor to a teen who lives in your community! We are looking for mentors that are at least 21 years old and can make a minimum six month commitment to one of the 255 foster teens in the Barren River region or one of the 130+ foster teens in the Green River region.
Light of Chance
Light of Chance, Inc. is a non-profit organization that works with youth and the community through innovative arts and wellness programs. Our programs have expanded and we have recently added a program called, Get Set Go. Get Set Go is a free, comprehensive health initiative that encourages youth (K-8) to become more active and healthy through physical activity and nutrition.
