BOWLING GREEN CODE ENFORCEMENT TO BE FOCUS OF NEXT BGCAN WINTER RALLY
BOWLING GREEN, KY -- Bowling Green Coalition of Active
Neighborhoods (BGCAN) has invited the City of Bowling Green's Code
Enforcement Division to headline the agenda at their Winter Rally of
the Neighborhoods, scheduled for Tuesday, January 29. Informal
networking and a soup dinner will begin at 6:00 p.m. at Parks &
Recreations' Large Community Room, 225 E. 3rd Avenue, with the program
scheduled to start at 6:30.
Part of the Neighborhood and Community Services Department, the City's
Code Enforcement Division is made up of one coordinator, four
inspectors, and one inspection support specialist. The Division is
planning a re-write of the Code of Ordinances "Chapter 27: Property
Maintenance", and this Rally represents one opportunity they plan to
share details of their daily work with neighbors. This Rally will also
fulfill the training requirement for the City's Select Neighborhood
Action Program (SNAP) grants.
BGCAN is a networking organization made up of many neighborhood groups
and individual residents who are interested in improving the quality of
life in Bowling Green's neighborhoods. While a quorum of the current
Board of Commissioners may be present at this Rally, no formal action
will be taken.
