PARKER BENNETT IMPROVEMENTS AND UPGRADES
RIBBON CUTTING

Bowling Green, KY – The City of Bowling Green will be hosting a Ribbon Cutting for the completion of the Parker Bennett improvements and upgrades on Thursday, January 3rd at 3:30 p.m.

The total budget for the Parker Bennett project was $250,100 which included upgrades in lighting to meet Little League standards; a new picnic shelter, walking path, climbing structure and improved surface around the shelter; and a new energy efficient roof on the Parker Bennett Community Center.

Many of the above projects were completed by City staff which allowed for the funding dollars to be stretched and for more projects to be completed. All funding was re-captured CDBG funding from previously funded projects.

Please join us for remarks from Mayor Bruce Wilkerson, City Manager Kevin DeFebbo, Community Center Supervisor, Omar Rogers and Housing Authority Manager, Abraham Williams.

Parker Bennett is located at 300 Jenkins Drive.
