SMALLHOUSE REALIGNMENT WORK UNDERWAY

BOWLING GREEN, KY-- Smallhouse Road Partners, Inc. is moving ahead
in earnest with work on the Smallhouse Road Realignment project this
week, and the City of Bowling Green and Warren County Public Works are
pushing out as much information about the project as possible.  An
informational website and e-newsletter are already online and
functioning, along with a special addition to the Information telephone
Hotline, typically used in the summer months for mosquito spraying and
in the fall for the City's Loose Leaf Pickup service.

Stewart Richey, the contractor for the project, reported that today they
will be finishing mowing the vacant lot behind the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-Day Saints and will start removing trees in the field
to prepare for grading. Erosion control is in place along Cave Mill and
Smallhouse Roads.

In an effort to minimize traffic delays and to limit the amount of
additional traffic through the surrounding neighborhoods, the contractor
will begin Cave Mill Road improvements on Tuesday, August 28th from
10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. This phase of night-time construction is
anticipated to last 2-3 weeks. The contractor has agreed to direct all
artificial lighting downward and away from any residences.

Subscribing to the Smallhouse Road Realignment e-Newsletter remains the
best and quickest way to receive updated information as the project
progresses.  Updated information will also be posted on the City's
website at:  http://www.bgky.org/smallhouserdrealignment/
(http://www.bgky.org/smallhouserdrealignment/)  Callers can also hear a
recorded message by dialing the Information Hotline at 393-3333.

To report concerns about the work as it progresses, call Warren County
Public Works at 843-5360.  This project is a joint private-public
partnership between Smallhouse Partners, Inc., Warren County Public
Works, and the City of Bowling Green.
