TONIGHT'S SUMMER STROLL POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER THREAT

BOWLING GREEN, KY - Due to the Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued by
the National Weather Service for our area, tonight's Summer Stroll in
the Loop Drive area neighborhood will not take place as scheduled
tonight.  Tonight's Summer Stroll was to have begun at Warren
Elementary School at 6:00 p.m. but will now take place on Monday night,
July 30 at 7:00 p.m.

The City's weather policy for Summer Strolls dictates that Strolls will
take place as scheduled unless a severe weather watch or warning
is in effect for Warren County, or scheduled to be in effect, 30 minutes
before the Stroll start time. If a watch or warning is in effect at that
time, the Stroll will be cancelled, pending a possible re-scheduling.
Weather watches/warnings include: a severe thunderstorm watch or
warning, a tornado watch or warning, a winter storm watch or warning, a
flood watch or warning. Weather advisories are not considered watches or
warnings.

The applicable Severe Thunderstorm Watch is expected to be in effect
until 10:00 p.m. tonight.  Neighborhood Services is contacting Stroll
hosts and will have staff available at the staging location tonight to
inform attendees of the rescheduling.
