CITY KICKS OFF 2010 SUMMER STROLLS MONDAY NIGHT
BOWLING GREEN, KY– The Board of Commissioners will kick off the 2010 Summer Stroll series Monday night, June 14 with a neighborhood walk in the Crossridge neighborhood. Walkers will meet at 6:00 p.m. in the parking lot of Farmers National Bank on Campbell Lane.
This is the 10th consecutive season for Summer Strolls, a series of neighborhood walks hosted by neighbors and attended by local elected officials, city staff, media, utility representatives, and other service agencies. Monday night’s stroll will give neighborhood residents the opportunity to talk one on one with officials and point out the neighborhood’s opportunities, accomplishments, and concerns.
Strolls are typically scheduled for Monday nights preceding the regular Tuesday night Board of Commissioners meetings, June through September. Another June Stroll will take place in the Northern Heights-Parker Bennett Neighborhood on June 28. Dates for the remainder of the season are limited.
While a quorum of the Board of Commissioners may be present at Monday night’s Stroll, no formal action will be taken. For more information or to schedule a Summer Stroll in your neighborhood, call the City’s Neighborhood Action Office at 393-3674.
