Flooding

Bowling Green does face challenges with flooding. Several areas of Bowling Green have had historic flooding conditions. As a result of such flooding in the early 1970's several efforts including storm water studies and revise design criteria have been undertaken . As a result of this work, drainage in developments built after this
time has been greatly improved.  Several capital improvement projects, CIPs, have also been constructed to help reduce flooding. Work is still continuing to help reduce localized flooding. Major efforts include: regulatory, analysis and study, capital improvement projects, and increased operations and maintenance.
