Public Works Mission Statement

The mission of the Department of Public Works is to maintain the City's storm water, streets, landfills, public buildings, and traffic control for the protection of the public and improvement of the quality of life for the citizens of bowling Green. The Department provides effective street maintenance and traffic control, environmentally responsible drainage and landfill management, professional engineering, and accessible, secure, and properly maintained buildings. The Department provides an economically and professionally operated fleet service center to insure the safety of the citizens and employees of Bowling Green.
