The Bowling Green Police Department subscribes to the ideals of the Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS) Program , a component of the USA Freedom Corp established by President George W. Bush. The Bowling Green Police Department also works closely with the RSVP Program (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) through Community Action of Southern Kentucky.
