Homeowner Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Program

The Housing and Community Development Department administers a Housing Rehabilitation Program which provides funding to low-income homeowners to ensure their homes meet building codes.

  • You may qualify for a 0% interest, deferred payment loan if:
  • You own and occupy a home located in the Bowling Green Enterprise Community;
  • Your home needs repairs; and
  • Your total household income does not exceed the following:

The City will..
  • Assist you in applying for the program.
  • Provide property inspections.
  • Provide bid specifications, work write-up and cost estimate for Rehabilitation work
  • Provide construction oversight.
Priority for assistance will be given when:
  • Head of household is elderly or disabled.
  • Household has a child under the age of seven.
  • Home is located in St. Joseph Redevelopment Area.
  • Home is located in Downtown Redevelopment Area.
