Housing Assistance

The Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program is a federally funded program administered within the City Limits of Bowling Green. The primary goal of Section 8 is rental assistance to persons of very low income, allowing them to rent existing market housing that is decent, safe, and sanitary. The program follows federal regulations as well as local policy. Individual subsidy is calculated using household income and the Fair Market Rent standards published by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Applications for the program are taken Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. These applications may be completed in the office or taken to be completed and returned later.
For more information, contact the Section 8 office at (270) 393-3621.
