Barren River Area Safe Space (BRASS)

-Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) certified housing counselors work with individuals and in a group setting on budgeting and credit issues as well as housing and homeownership with residents of BRASS. (adults)
-Residents of BRASS can participate in a Rural IDA (Individual Development Account) with the Kentucky Domestic Violence Association.

-Sponsors annual “Affordable Homeownership Festival” on the 2nd Saturday of June at the Parks & Recreation Building, 225 Third Avenue that targets first-time homebuyers in the low- to moderate-income levels.  Mini-workshops and booths/exhibits on all aspects of the homebuying process. (adults)
