Crime of the week

“Theft/ATM Fraud”

Crime Stoppers needs your help. Bowling Green Police are investigating a theft of credit cards. Sometime Saturday night March 15, 2008 a car was broken into in the 1600 block of Chestnut Street. The theft took a wallet and purse and removed the cash and credit cards. Later that night (approximately 2:57 a.m.) the ATM card was used several times at the National City Bank on Russellville Road. The ATM surveillance camera shows a white male wearing a camouflage jacket using the stolen credit card while apparently talking on a cell phone. Authorities are hoping someone can make out the identity of the thief. This person may also be responsible for several other reported thefts from vehicles.
