Art TheftCrime Stoppers needs your help. Bowling Green Police are investigating an art theft. Sometime Friday night, December 12, 2008 six pieces of artwork valued at over $2000 were stolen from the Capitol Arts Center Mezzanine Gallery. The artwork is described as two wall pieces, a pink and orange abstract monotype and a digital multimedia piece showing a half-moon; and four ceramic pieces, a shiny copper and cobalt blue rounded pot, an oddly shaped and textured pink ceramic piece, a green stoneware box and a ceramic head. The pieces are thought to have been stolen sometime Friday night during the comedian Donnie Baker’s Official Christmas Office Party. Below are pictures of three of the stolen art pieces.
