Kentucky State Police are investigating vandalism at a local farm. Sometime over the weekend of June 12-14, 2009 someone intentionally damaged a corn crop on Bettersworth Road in Richpond. The suspect drove a vehicle off the roadway into the corn field driving in circles damaging the crop. Several rows of corn were destroyed causing thousands of dollars in crop damage.

Bowling Green Police are investigating two unrelated armed robberies. On Sunday night May 31, 2009 at approximately 9:00 p.m., a black male entered the Kentucky Fried Chicken on Scottsville Road armed with a black semi-automatic handgun. The suspect demanded cash and then fled on foot. The suspect was captured on surveillance video and was last seen wearing sunglasses, a blue jacket, dark cap and gloves.
