Employee Excellence Awards Program

The City of Bowling Green has recognized outstanding employees for the second year in a row with the Employee Excellence Awards Program. This program recognizes and rewards its employees for excellence in service to the citizens of Bowling Green. Through this program, City of Bowling Green employees are able to nominate co-workers to receive one of ten, $1,000.00 awards for excellence in service.

This year, 27 employees were nominated, and the following were chosen to be honored:

Steve Milam, Information Technology
Anna Jones, Parks and Recreation
Ricky Jones, Public Works Operations Division
Jamie Luttrell, Police
Melissa Christerson, Housing and Community Development
Gary Hardin, Public Works Operations Division
Karen Foley, Citizen Information and Assistance
Gabe Nealon, Parks and Recreation Golf Division
Tim Wilson, Police

All nominations were anonymous and self-nominations were not considered. Nominations were reviewed by a selection committee which was appointed and consisted of one representative from each department.
