Adoption

As a citizen it is my responsibility to...

Citizens are encouraged to visit the Bowling Green-Warren County Humane Society and Animal Adoption Center to select an animal if they are looking for a pet.  The Humane Society has kittens, puppies, cats and dogs of all sizes and descriptions available for adoption at the shelter.  Citizens who adopt an animal pay an adoption fee.

It is the responsibility of the city to...

Provide appropriate animals for adoption.  Sterilize dogs and cats adopted.  The adoption fee pays our vets for a check-up, worming, a rabies shot, the first distemper shot, and spaying or neutering.  The Humane Society screens all adopters to see if they will be loving, responsible caregivers.  The Humane Society also provides a Spay-Neuter Assistance Program for people who qualify.

If I am interested, who do I contact...
