Each year in December, City Hall opens its doors to the residents of Bowling Green and Warren County during our annual Christmas Open House. This year will be no exception as we will welcome guests on Friday, December 7th, 2018 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Expect a slightly different twist to our open house this year as we partner with the The District and multiple Downtown Businesses to combine the City Hall Christmas Open House and the Downtown Lights Up Event.

While residents of all ages are still encouraged to attend the open house to meet elected officials and the staff who work for the City of Bowling Green, this year will offer so much more. Mission Catering will provide a variety of holiday treats including shrimp and grits, prime rib sliders, holiday cake pops and more. Free keepsake holiday ornaments will be provided to the first 500 visitors and the 2018/2019 Annual Report and Calendar will also be offered free of charge.

In addition to holiday cheer, ornaments and great food, we will have special visitors from the North Pole and the City of Arendelle (think Disney), a reading of ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas’, a holiday photo booth, BG Gov To Go and so much more.

Oh – and did we mention FREE carriage rides sponsored by the City of Bowling Green and Morris Jewelry?

After you have toured City Hall, grabbed a bite to eat, ridden in a horse drawn carriage, and picked up your holiday gifts, make sure to head down to Fountain Square Park where we will be officially lighting the Square just after 5:30 p.m.!

Be sure to join us downtown for Holiday Cheer!
