Senior Programs:
The Special Populations program

provides various activities for Senior Citizens.

We are always looking for new program ideas.

If you are a Senior Citizen and would like a listing

of our programs or if you have some program ideas,

please give us a call. We would love to talk with you!

The following programs are specifically designed to meet the needs of individuals

with a mental and/or physical challlenge:

Area 5 Special Olympics:
Area 5 Special Olympics is a twenty-county region surrounding Bowling Green. Area 5 Special Olympics is dedicated to providing the following quality events: Area 5 Bowling Tournament, Special Olympics Kentucky Regional Softball Tournament, Special Olympics Kentucky Regional Basketball Tournament, Area 5 Power lifting Tournament, and Area 5 Spring Games. Any person who wishes to volunteer or with a mental challenge that wishes to participate in Special Olympics should contact Special Populations for more information. Volunteers are always needed.  Bowling Green Adult Athletic Club:
The B.G.A.A.C. is for any person with a mental challenge. The club competes and trains for the following Special Olympic Events: Area 5 Bowling, State Bowling, Unified Bowling, Area 5 Spring Games, State Summer Games, State Power lifting Tournament, State Softball Tournament, and State Basketball/Cheerleading Competition. A monthly newsletter is printed to inform athletes and volunteers about upcoming events. Social activities include: picnics, dances, field trips, movies, etc. Persons with a mental challenge or persons that have an interest in volunteering should contact Special Populations for more information.
