Softball

ASA sanctioned leagues are in cooperation with the B.G. Athletic Association. Entry fees are based upon the number of games played including team ASA sanction fee, ASA registered umpire, scorekeeper, league and tourney awards, and a seeded double-elimination tournament. Teams will hit their own ASA approved softballs and bats. Leagues may be limited to the number of teams indicated and are handled first-come-first-served based upon the paid deposit. Successful completion of the league without forfeits will result in a $50 refund to the manager.

(Balance Due- an added $25 will be assessed if not paid in full by this date and schedules may not be picked up.)

Softball Umpires

Process includes league and ASA rules highlights seminar, tape, scrimmage, and exam. We will provide refreshments for both mandatory meetings. ASA sanctioning is $37.

Baseball

Little League Baseball has two geographically assigned leagues maintained by volunteer boards. This program serves youths aged 8-12 years of age.

T-Ball, Coach-Pitch-Softball

In cooperation with the Bowling Green Athletic Association (BGAA). For youths 4 -14 years old.

Leagues:

• T-Ball, Softee-Ball Ages 4-6 yrs. old: $40
• Boys Coach-Pitch Ages 6-8 yrs. old: $45
• Girls Coach-Pitch Ages 6-9 yrs. old: $45
• Ponytail Ages 10-12 yrs. old: $50
• Girls Fast-Pitch Girls 14 & Under: $65
  

All games are played at Lampkin Park and/or Pedigo Park. The player's age will be based as of July 1, 2007. Birth certificates are required at registration. The registration fee includes insurance, jersey, cap, and an award. These are instructional and recreational leagues and all head coaches are NYSCA certified. Youths may play up a division if parents consent to do so. Make checks payable to the BGAA.

NYSCA Coaches Certification

Mandatory for individuals head coaching in any city co-sponsored youth program. Head coaches in any BGAA program will have their fee paid for; any other program or assistant coaches must pay a $20 fee to be certified. The process includes viewing tape(s), signing a Code of Ethics Pledge, and taking an exam; in cooperation with the NYSCA Program.

American Legion

Being conducted by SOKY BearCats Program. For boys 13-18 years of age. Games site: Home games at Hobson Grove Ed Haynes Legion Field. For more information contact: Mo Jackson at 202-7368.

SPRING LEAGUES

*MEN’S OPEN I (Competitive). First eight teams to register. The entry fee includes 14 games of league play on Wednesdays at Lampkin Park. No time or home run limit. Entry
Fee: $425.

*MEN’S OPEN II. First 15 teams to register.
The fee includes 14 games of league play on Mondays and Wednesdays at Lampkin Park and Hobson Grove. Teams have a home-run limit. One-umpire system. Entry Fee: $425.

*MEN’S OPEN III (Recreational). First 8 teams to register. One home-run limit, play on Mondays and Wednesdays at Lampkin and/or Hobson. One Umpire system. Entry Fee:
$425.

+MEN’S CHURCH. First 8 teams to register. Teams play 14 games on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Entry Fee: $425.

COED LEAGUE. (May be divided into Division I/II if not enough teams). Teams play 14 games on Tuesdays, and Thursdays at Lampkin and/or Hobson Grove. Oneumpire system. Entry Fee: $425.

MEN’S CLOSED INDUSTRIAL. First 15 teams to register. Teams play on Mondays and Fridays at Lampkin and/or Hobson Grove. Fee includes 14 games of league play. If more than 11 teams, there will be 2 separate post-season tourneys based on record. Entry Fee: $425.

WOMEN’S OPEN LEAGUE

First 8 teams to register. Fee includes 14 games of league play on Monday, Tuesday and/or Thursday nights at Lampkin Park #4. One-umpire system.
Entry Fee: $425.
2nd SHIFT LEAGUE. Play on Tuesday &Thurs mornings begin at 9:00 a.m. Entry Fee: $425.

MID-SUMMER LEAGUES

*Maybe delayed pending completion of Spring League.
