BGCAN Winter Rally of the Neighborhoods Set For Tomorrow Night

Bowling Green Coalition of Active Neighborhoods (BGCAN) will kick off their first Rally of the Neighborhoods of the new year tomorrow night, January 29 at Bowling Green Parks & Recreation, 225 E. 3rd Avenue. The event will start with a beans and cornbread supper at 6:00 p.m., with the program scheduled to begin at 6:30.

Bowling Green Coalition of Active Neighborhoods (BGCAN) will kick off their first Rally of the Neighborhoods of the new year tomorrow night, January 29 at Bowling Green Parks & Recreation, 225 E. 3rd Avenue.  The event will start with a beans and cornbread supper at 6:00 p.m., with the program scheduled to begin at 6:30.

New Magistrate Doug Gorman will provide an overview of the structure and services provided by Warren County government.  Attendees will also hear an update regarding neighborhood programming for 2015 by the City's Neighborhood Services Division.

Bowling Green Coalition of Active Neighborhoods (BGCAN) acts as a networking organization for many neighborhood groups and individual residents who are interested in improving the quality of life in Bowling Green's neighborhoods. Its primary actions are:

  • to provide a centralized forum for sharing of methods for neighborhood improvement
  • to educate neighborhoods regarding city resources
  • to provide a collective voice for action in addressing city wide neighborhood problems
  • to act as a liaison with city government
